As Board President of Blue Mountain Heart to Heart, may I add that the many social service agencies operating in Walla Walla are very grateful for the generous support given by the wineries and those associated with them. BMH2H has been the beneficiary of gifts from K Vintners, Reininger, Waterbrook, Buty, L'Ecole, Three Rivers, Dusted Valley, Forgeron, Foundry, and others, relationships with all of whom we cherish. Indeed, the wine industry has been one of the most consistently community-service oriented I can think of.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00153651466150238238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670249.post-46399276929416983532010-03-22T20:45:37.239-07:002010-03-22T20:45:37.239-07:00In the short time I have been a Walla Walla reside...In the short time I have been a Walla Walla resident (4 years), I have experienced the comments you have expressed in your blog. I totally agree these people have their heads stuck in the sand. I also agree with Paul that no matter what you say you are not going to change their opinion (I have tried). But, I do bet that writing this vent made you feel better. It made me feel better. Thanks Katie!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670249.post-78159910442235013872010-03-21T19:51:40.917-07:002010-03-21T19:51:40.917-07:00Paul, you are right of course. But just case, it is still food for thought and besides - a good vent. <br />C~wild walla walla wine womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06010888248285539144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670249.post-55528459479734539912010-03-21T19:27:32.007-07:002010-03-21T19:27:32.007-07:00Of course you are absolutely right. Support the people doing the good work, and let the nitwits yowl. The best thing you or anyone can do is to ignore them. They are clueless, ignorant, fearful and ultimately powerless.PaulGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05409346656762573929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670249.post-49262084647359172962010-03-21T17:31:28.844-07:002010-03-21T17:31:28.844-07:00I'm with you on all accounts. I don't want chain restaurants, some originality please. The more refined, classy establishments the better. The Simply Luxurious Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06288681334499771945noreply@blogger.com
