Buy Local Wine

This poster was designed by Fox Run Vineyards in California. It is a take-off of "Rosie the Riveter," the cultural icon, whose image was used to promote American women who worked in war factories during World War II.

The other day, this poster was published on Facebook and my name was tagged on it by Randy Hall, co-host of Wine Biz Radio from Sonoma Valley. I was flattered, that even as far as Sonoma Valley in California, someone has been paying attention to the importance I have placed on the wines from Walla Walla. I truly support buying local wines: my local - my hometown - local wines from Walla Walla. Thanks Randy for the recognition.

Perhaps I have missed it, but I would surely like to know your thoughts on Tru on Main Street. Just got back from there. "Interesting" is all I can come up with. Would like to see your review on this white wine only winery. Thanks.

Please...Fox Run is in NY State, in the Finger Lakes Region. So far from California, and with really good cool climate wines.

Thx to change your mistake.

Actually...this poster was designed by Joanna Purdy FOR Fox Run Vineyards in the Finger Lakes of New York State. She is the wife of our winemaker, Peter Bell, and a wonderful graphic artist. She has also designed a suite of character driven labels for three of our wines and two other labels based on "Rosie" called Drink New York Riesling and Drink New York Merlot. They fly off the shelves.
